The Gatherin'

About The Gatherin’ of SCGG

At The Gatherin’ of SCGG, we are inspired by the early church, where small groups of believers came together to “EAT, PRAY, and COMMUNE”. Just as God used Jesus and His disciples to impact their communities and lead people into a loving relationship with Him, we aim to follow that same model.

Our mission is to create intimate spaces for fellowship and spiritual growth, where people can experience the love of Christ in their daily lives.

Acts 2:46-47 NLT: “They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in the homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity. All the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people.  And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.”

Through shared meals, prayer, and communion, we seek to bring the presence of Jesus into our homes and communities, as living examples of His love who demonstrate that love in tangible ways.

Our Mission

At The Gatherin’ of SCGG, we are dedicated to being “Repairers of the Breach” – generational curse breakers, creating a transformative movement that brings people together to intimately experience Christ and His works in their lives.

Through the principles of “EAT • PRAY • COMMUNE”, we foster a space for spiritual growth, authentic connection, and a shared journey of faith.

Our mission is to break down barriers, build lasting legacies, and cultivate a community rooted in love, prayer, and fellowship.

Shamieka Charlay Guzmán

FOUNDER

Shamieka Charlay Guzmán retired from being a successful salon owner/hairstylist in December 2023 in order to discover her true life purpose. After two years of fasting and seeking God, and with the help of her trauma therapist and mentor, she realized that sharing her story of overcoming severe abandonment issues, depression, alcoholism, codependency, and suicidal tendencies was her mission in life.

The more she sought God, the more He showed her visions of “The Gatherin’ of SCGG”. This Gatherin’ seeks to provide a nutritious meal, a safe space in which individuals can share their stories in a connected circle and employ theological and psychological solutions so that all who participate, including Shamieka herself, may continue to heal together.

Her desire is that no one should suffer for years in silence as she did. For that reason, the movement of “Repairers of the Breach” was created. As a qualified transformational coach and author, she has discovered that generational dysfunctions are the root cause of the majority of people’s emotional anguish.

Her prayer is that The Gatherin’ of SCGG along with the other SCGG Ministries, as well as her living example will change many people’s lives, allowing them to become free in body, mind, and spirit, and mirror their soul which was always whole.
